Time management and organisation

Time management and organisation are crucial skills for achieving success in any aspect of life. They allow you to prioritise tasks, use your time efficiently, and achieve your goals. Here are some benefits of time management and organisation:

  1. Increased productivity: When you manage your time well, you can accomplish more in less time. You will be able to focus on important tasks and eliminate time-wasting activities.

  2. Reduced stress: Poor time management and disorganisation can lead to stress and anxiety. When you have a clear plan for your day and know what you need to do, you will feel less overwhelmed.

  3. Improved decision-making: With good time management, you will have more time to think through decisions and make better choices.

  4. Better work-life balance: When you manage your time well, you can prioritise your work and personal life, and create a better balance between the two.

  5. Achieving your goals: Effective time management helps you set goals, create a plan to achieve them, and track your progress along the way.

Here are five basic strategies for implementing time management and organisation into your daily routine. We have specific strategies that you can access in the CHW mental performance course in the CHW_CLUB:

  1. Set goals and prioritise: Start by setting realistic goals for what you want to achieve in a given day or week. Then, prioritise those goals based on their importance and urgency.

  2. Make a schedule: Use a planner or calendar to schedule your day, including both work and personal activities. Make sure to include breaks and downtime to avoid burnout.

  3. Create a to-do list: Write down all the tasks you need to accomplish and break them down into smaller, manageable steps. Cross off tasks as you complete them to feel a sense of accomplishment.

  4. Eliminate distractions: Identify the things that distract you from your work and eliminate them as much as possible. This could include turning off your phone or email notifications during focused work periods.

  5. Review and adjust: At the end of each day or week, review your progress and adjust your plan as necessary. Celebrate your successes and learn from any mistakes or challenges.

Implementing these strategies into your daily routine may take some practice, but the benefits of good time management and organisation are well worth the effort.
